I first became interested in XML over a year ago. After initial reading and discovery I could see uses for it and wished to incorporate it into my web sites. While Microsoft’s plans for XML in the fall of 1999 seemed promising, finding concrete examples and documentation was difficult. Since then, Microsoft has done a fine job of integrating XML into as many of its products as possible: SQL, Exchange, etc. In fact they’ve seemingly gone overboard with the technology, incorporating XSLT, Xpath, XDR as well as adding their own spin on this with SAX and SOAP.

Today, I still find that while XML is being adopted, concrete ASP examples of usage have been few and far between. Most examples would deal with enterprise tasks that usually aren’t of much interest to smaller developers.
