Grid computing vs cloud computing

What is the difference between cloud computing and grid computing? Cloud computing and grid computing are both a collection; a pooling of resources, but they are not the same. A grid can be a part of the cloud but is not a necessary condition to the creation of the cloud. In this article we explore the similarities and differences between the two.
