The Ever-Morphing Role of the Developer/DBA


 Article Abstract:

Recently we ran an editorial that asked about the roles of DBAs and developers. I was specifically asking whether people were seeing the two worlds merging a bit, and whether that was impacting positions and jobs in the marketplace. This article provides just some of the responses received, with more arriving all the time. It's an excellent looking glass into the lives of DBAs, developers and all of us that are somewhere in between.
