(Kent Tegels) One of the most potentially useful features in SQL Server 2005 is the addition of statements and methods for encrypting and decrypting stored data. There's hardly an organization out there without some need to keep information away from even the most trustworthy of eyes: passwords and validation phrases, information like pay rates, government-issued ID numbers, health and student history information to name a few. This article series walks you through an example of using SQL Server 2005's cryptography features.
