 Article Abstract:

Consider the following scenario. You are running a 32-bit version of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 4 on an x86-based computer or on an x64-based computer. If Address Windowing Extensions (AWE) support is enabled, SQL Server 2000 can only use a maximum of 50 percent of the physical memory that is on the computer.
