(Yuli Vasiliev) JavaServer Faces technology is a new server-side user interface (UI) component framework for J2EE applications. In fact, JavaServer Faces provides the developer with a rich set of UI components. However, you are free to extend the standard UI components with new functionality to meet your development needs. As an alternative to building your own UI components you might use component libraries based on JSF -- such as Oracle ADF Faces.
