by J.V.Ravichandran - Before proceeding to the Complex types, let us look into creating the "Unnamed Simple Types" that appears in the right-side combo box of an element. Follow the same procedure as in creating Simple types (Creating an XML Schema using VS.Net - Part - I) i.e., from the toolbox, drag a Element type and drop it onto the Schema designer window and select Unnamed simple type from the type combo on the right. This type is different in that it has an associated child to it as shown below but again the associated child simple type can contain only a facet.
