Introducing Software Process Models [Part I]


 Article Abstract:

A Software Process Model is a generic process that is used to organize a Software Project into well defined phases that contain specified activities. It covers the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of a Software Project and states each of the phases and the tasks or activities that are performed in each of these phases. In Software Engineering, we essentially follow some structured models for efficiency in the Software Development Life Cycle. This series of articles provides a generic overview of the different software development methodologies that are currently in use and lists the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.
