Recycle Bin in Oracle Database 10g

 Article Abstract:

(Yuli Vasiliev) Normally, in Oracle Database, when you drop all the object tables that are based on an object type, you can then drop that object type. In Oracle 10g, by default, all dropped tables along with their dependent objects like indexes, constraints etc. are placed in the recycle bin. This means that you can restore a dropped table if necessary. However, if you drop all the object tables based on an object type, and then you drop that object type, you won’t be able to restore any of these tables.

I didn't manage to access an oracle 10g database server using SQLPlus from an oracle 9.2 remote client. Maybe it is possible but additional steps are needed to make it work.
