 Article Abstract:

The Following four zaps should be applied to all versions of the Replication Agent for DB2 Versions 10.5 and below:

(PDR10008) Abends0c9/abends0c4 in DRL@LOGX when trying to bring the PLATINUM Replication Extract back up after a DB2 crash.

After a DB2 crash followed by a normal restart, DB2 will perform both forward and backward recovery. This basically involves reading the DB2 log backwards and forwards in order to determine any URs that were indoubt at the time of the crash. DB2 will then attempt to resolve these indoubt URs. There are three possibilities for an indoubt UR: it may be committed, it may be rolled back, or it may remain indoubt. When DB2 resolves the URs, DB2 writes log records that describe the function being performed.
