Understanding GetDate() and User Defined Functions


 Article Abstract:

(Vadivel Mohanakrishnan) We can't directly use GetDate() in a User Defined Function because it is a non-deterministic function. That is a fucntion must return the same result for the same set of data, but getdate() potentially changes result of a function each time it is executed. In this article we would see couple of work arounds for it.
