Update Methods Used in SQL Server 6.5


 Article Abstract:

(Alexander Chigrik) SQL Server 6.5 can use two different methods to update records, depending on the circumstances. They include Direct Update and Deferred Update. Each method affects performance in a different way, as we shall see in this article.
