Who do you Hire: The Decision You Need to Make
|
I was talking to a director that I know and he mentioned to me that he has a scale that he measures prospective employees on. If you evaluate these three points I think that you can get a good idea on how to compare different people that you may be considering for employment. |

As an enhancement to the method, moving the 'center point' toward the aspect(s) that are not as important would further accentuate which candidate fits the given spot.
Say you are filling a programming position on a limited budget. You feel the skills and cost are the more important than personality for this position. Move the 'center point' closer to the personality point. This de-emphasizes that aspect. Someone who is cheap and skilled will score close to the center point along those lines and since the personality line is now shorter, having a bad score here will not increase his triangle's area that much.
